The Museum of Dolls and Toys

Founded in 1988 by Princess Bona Borromeo Arese, the Museum of Dolls and Toys shows more than one thousand dolls crafted since XVIII with various materials of the ancient tradition: wood, wax, papier-mâché, porcelain, biscuit, composition and cloth.
The great variety and the high quality of the collection bestows this Museum a place among the most important of this sector in Europe.
The collection takes up to twelve rooms divided by argument: one is for non-European dolls and toys, the other for the Petit Musée du Costume of Tours by Giséle Pesché, which consists in an extraordinary collection of French and German drones of XIX and so on.
