Rocca di Angera
Foundation Museum of Dolls and Toys
Founded in 1988 by Princess Bona Borromeo Arese, it was the first Italian exhibition of the kind and today is still one of the main points of reference for enthusiasts from all over the world. The 1,300 dolls present are displayed following a historical itinerary and therefore by the progression of materials used in the various periods and phases: from arts and crafts to industry. They all illustrate the historical and cultural evolution of this extraordinary object, always a protagonist of childhood.
