Christmas Presents: the colours, aromas and flavours of Lago Maggiore in the Terre Borromeo e-shop

Original and exclusive ideas for Christmas shopping are available online at the Terre Borromeo boutique. The recently restyled e-shop offers dream experiences – amid the flower gardens of the Isole Borromee, in the parks for a regenerating excursion immersed in nature, or visiting the cultural sites of the tourist destinations on Lago Maggiore – but also quality presents and little gifts to wish your dear ones a Merry Christmas with elegance. Starting from the home page of the isoleborromee.it website you can view the products divided up into eight maincategories: accessories, art of living, stationery, books, gift experiences, gourmet, perfumery and special priceoffers.

A few ideas? For incurable travellers, one proposal that is always much appreciated is the themed caskets, to fully experience the wonders and beauties of the Terre Borromeo tourism and museum sites in both spring/summer and winter. You can choose from among six alternatives: Baroque, botanicals, snow, medieval, relaxation and fauna.

Hints of citrus and blossom from the gardens of the Isole Borromee and the Castles of Cannero characterize the fragrances Aroma Reale, Neroli Nobile and Blu Imperiale. An olfactory journey with sophisticated notes are available as gifts in the formulas of eau de parfum, body lotion, shower gel, liquid soap and diffusers.

The precious silk scarves also harken back to the floral motifs inspired by the botanical treasures of the Terre Borromeo gardens and parks, or the artistic details of artworks on display in Palazzo Borromeo.

Those looking for delightful little objects to wish their dear ones Merry Christmas with affection and style will find ample choice from among the following: 99-piece mini puzzles; crayon sets with details recalling the botany and other symbols associated with Terre Borromeo; notebooks, always useful to carry in your bag, with lined pages and covers devoted to natural elements such as citrus fruit or waterlilies. Or 3D postcards to magically recreate the most stunning perspective effects of Isola Bella, Isola Madre, Rocca di Angera and the Castles of Cannero.

So many ideas and accessories for the home online at the Terre Borromeo e-shop: for serious collectors, magnets with designs of the peacock that strolls in the gardens of Isole Borromee, or of the wisteria, which are there for you at the extraordinary Stairway of the Wisteria on Isola Madre; pure cotton tea towels with magnets, to hang conveniently from the appliances in the kitchen. In addition, for your travels or to have with you as you move around during the day, the water bottle, thermos flask and eco-friendly mug made of bamboo fibre and corn starch.

Finally, a gourmet gift for lovers of fine flavours and quality food products: the irresistible typical biscuits of Le Langhe in the “baci di dama”, “Capricci” and “Paste di Meliga” lines, which all just have to be tried, and artisan honey from the permanent apiary in Parco Pallavicino in Stresa.

.
Volete sapere come riconoscerle? Avvicinate il naso, se il profumo è gradevole all’olfatto, allora l’avrete trovata.
👀
C’è un’altra curiosità che la contraddistingue... Ve la sveliamo nelle stories.

.
The number of species that belong to the genus of skimmia is rather debated among botanists, but one thing is clear to us: from the Himalayas and Japan they have reached Isola Madre.
💙
In the fall, skimmia's green berries turn bright red and stay on the plant until the following spring. They are so similar to peppercorns that the flower is also known as the "false pepper".
.
Do you want to learn how to recognize them? Bring your nose closer: if the scent is pleasant to smell, then you have found it.
👀
There is another curiosity that distinguishes it... We’ll reveal it to you in our stories.

Immersed in a deep blue, a young man with an unknown identity catapults us into the painting of Leonardo, who, in the nineteenth century, believed himself to be the author of this canvas, now preserved in the Galleria Berthier.
.
The painter's hand is instead that of Boltraffio, who wisely managed to mix the expressive naturalism typical of Lombard painting with the introspective and psychological characters of Leonardo's painting.
.
The portrait represents one of the most important works in Boltraffio's artistic career. In our stories we will tell you more about this very important picture.

Ormai manca pochissimo!
.
.
.
Take a clerodendron petal and rub it in your hands, you will be surprised by an intense perfume.
💐
Gardeners love this plant very much, but not just for its scent!
The clerodendron blooms from late august till autumn and adds color even to the harshest of winters.
.
On Isola Madre, you can already see clusters of inflorescences formed by many white and red starry flowers, growing at the apex of the branches.
🌸
By the time the berries have turned a blue-purple, they will have completed their winter flowering. It’s almost time!
