Terre Borromeo closes the 2021 season. Goodbye till 18 March next year

The spring and summer season of opening of the Terre Borromeo museums and gardens on Lago Maggiore concludes on November 1st. In expectation of the next opening, envisaged to be on 18th March 2022, now is the time for the activities of restoration and maintenance of the historical and artistic assets to begin, along with the maintenance and care of the gardens and the planning of innovations for the tourism offer, which will lead to new initiatives such as the inauguration of the renovated Hotel Ristorante Delfino in the new year.
A recovery in tourism has been registered this year, as well as a return of foreign visitors to the Isole Borromee destinations, Rocca di Angera, Parco Pallavicino and Mottarone Adventure Park. At the end of September the overall number of entries grew by +32% compared to 2020, predominantly Italians but with a recovery of tourists from abroad, above all from France and Germany. Dutch and Swiss have also been seen at the Terre Borromeo destinations. The presence of British, Russians and Americans is still sporadic.
Isola Bella, with its splendid botanical garden and the wonders of Palazzo Borromeo, where the exhibition devoted to the important figure of Vitaliano Vi has concluded, and Isola Madre, with its spectacular blossoming flowers, have spearheaded the recovery. Considerable interest has also been shown in Parco Pallavicino, which has confirmed that many families have been seeking places in the open air, in nature.
Those who feel a little nostalgic during the coming months can explore the Terre Borromeo e-shop so they can have aromas, flavours, images and accessories at home that will take their thoughts back to the beauties of Lago Maggiore.
In expectation of the snow, on 4 December winter activities begin at the Parco del Mottarone, which is preparing to welcome skiers and lovers of the mountains in search of breathtaking panoramas.
